The renowned Polyx®-Oil for a special effect!
Osmo Polyx®-Oil Effect is ideally suited for producing special effects on wooden flooring in the interior. Through the application of Polyx®-Oil Effect Natural / Raw, light-coloured interior wood is protected nearly invisibly – the natural wood colour and grain are not enhanced. Polyx®-Oil Effect Silver/Gold, in contrast, is a decorative coating for darker wooden floors.

NUMBER OF COATS
For flooring, maximum one coat with Polyx®-Oil Effect Natural. The second coat is to be carried out with a clear Osmo Polyx®-Oil.
Finished surface in 2 days, 2 coats
(1st Polyx®-Oil Effect, 2nd clear Polyx®-Oil)
- First coat on the raw, sanded wood approx. 30-40 ml/m².
- Mistakes in the wet coating can be corrected up to 30 minutes after the first application.
- Drying time approx. 24 hours (normal climatic conditions, 23 °C/50 % rel. humidity). Lower temperatures and/or higher humidity can increase drying time. Allow for good ventilation.
- If desired, the dried finish can be smoothened with fine grain sandpaper (P400) or with a scouring pad before applying the second coat.
- Second coat approx. 30-40 ml/m² with clear Polyx®-Oil.
- Drying time approx. 8-10 hours; see point 3.
Note: In order to achieve the desired effect of Silver/Gold on light-coloured wood species, first apply either Osmo Wood Wax Finish 3169 Black or Osmo Polyx®-Oil Original 3075 Black as coloured base coat and allow to dry for 24 hours. It takes 1 day longer for the finished surface finish.
