Osmo Oil Stain is ideal as a coloured base coat for all wooden floors, such as solid wood, plank, strip, OSB and cork flooring, as well as stairs and furniture surfaces.

NUMBER OF COATS
One coat for transparent colour; for intense colour, two coats are necessary.
Finished surface in 2-3 days, 2-3 coats (1st/2nd Oil Stain, 2nd/3rd clear Polyx®-Oil)
Transparent colour:
1. Apply very thinly to the clean and dry wood along the wood grain with Osmo Floor Brush, Microfibre Roller or Double Blade Scraper.
2. Any brushstrokes can be removed within 30 minutes after applying.
3. Buff into the wood evenly with a white pad.
4. Drying time approx. 12 hours (normal climatic conditions, 23 °C/50 % rel. humidity). Lower temperatures and/or higher humidity can increase drying time. Allow for good ventilation.
Intense colour:
5. Apply the first coat as described in points 1-4.
6. Apply the second coat, also very thinly, as described in point 1.
7. Buff into the wood evenly with a white pad.
8. Drying time approx. 12 hours, see point 4.
9. After Step 4 or 8, apply a top coat with a clear Osmo Polyx®-Oil and leave to dry. For floors with a white base coat, a top coat with either Osmo Polyx®-Oil Original 3040 White or Osmo Polyx®-Oil Effect 3041 Natural is recommended.
Note: Oil Stain can also be applied to smaller surfaces with a lint-free cloth.
